Factory Tire and Rubber has been in the tire business since the late 1950’s beginning at the corner of Dufferin St. and Wilson Ave., founded by the late Allen Mills.

During his teenage years, Allen began operating Factory Tire out of his father’s gas station but quickly gained traction as one of the foremost experienced and customer oriented tire specialists in the great City of Toronto. It wasn’t long before Allen’s reputation spread and carried him on to his own location on Chesswood Dr where the Factory Tire name had become synonymous with the automotive industry in Ontario.

Within a few years Allen had become a staple in Toronto as the go-to location for the best deals on tires with the friendliest staff and the most knowledgeable tire specialists. Eventually with his business bursting at the seams, Allen finally settled at 1402 Martin Grove Rd, Rexdale, in a 30,000 sq/ft building where Factory Tire resides today.
 

Allen’s customers and employees have always shown the utmost loyalty throughout the years. Allen’s mantra was to treat everyone alike as if they were your own family. Allen believed in being supportive to his staff, many of which been working with Factory Tire for 10 years or more providing a sense of familiarity with the customers who have been coming back for even longer. Always the comedian, you would often find Allen in the showroom, sharing jokes with customers and employees alike, ensuring everyone was comfortable at any given time.

Toronto lost their always smiling, laughing, knowledgeable and caring “General Mills”, Mr. Allen Mills on August 24th, 2010. His wife, Mrs. Myra Mills, the President of Factory Tire, carries on Allen’s legacy of excellent customer service with the most competitive prices and products available while maintaining the friendly and warm atmosphere Factory Tire is known for. Much like her late husband, she maintains an open door policy to anyone, customer or employee alike as a testament to Allen’s personable and friendly nature.
 

Mrs. Mills, continues to carry forward Allen’s principals, once quoted in one of Toronto largest newspapers: “Tires are a grudge purchase; if you buy new clothing, a new TV or home you show your new acquisition off to your friends and family. When did you last have friends or family visit and you said to them ‘come see my new tires?”, Allen firmly believed he could make this process less begrudging and as enjoyable as possible.

Factory Tire continues this tradition to this day, and we hope to see you soon to share in that experience.
